Omninate's 2008 Yamaha V-Star 1300

Overview

I started riding a few years back and have owned a few of sport bikes since then (2000 Ninja, 1974 CB750, and a 1995 CBR600). i just recently came to the conclusion that I am ready to enter the cruiser world, so I went out and purchased a brand new 2008 Yamaha V-Star 1300. I just rode it home yesterday (09/29/2009), and already love it! It only has 20 miles on it as of this morning, so obviously I have a ways to go with the official break-in period, but it's a really great riding motorcycle! I like the power the bike has through the whole range, and riding in a much more relaxed position than my sportbike is a huge plus!

I purchased this motorcycle as a brand new previous model year bike still in the crate from Cycle Stop Motorsports for ~$8000 with 0 miles on it. This is the first new bike that I have owned! For those wondering, it is a two-tone color scheme - Black Cherry over Candy Red.
